Cobra Kai’s final season, Season 6, has finally received its premiere dates, starting this July, with the official release of the trailer.
Netflix announced on Thursday, May 2, 2024, that the sixth and final season of their popular karate comedy will debut in three parts. The streaming service unveiled the official teaser, which you can watch below.
According to Netflix, Season 6 of Cobra Kai will consist of fifteen episodes. Unlike previous seasons, this one will be released in three parts, each containing five episodes.
The series serves as a direct sequel to the original four films in The Karate Kid franchise, centering on the characters of Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence over 30 years after the events of the original film.
In the upcoming season, Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) will be preparing their students for the prestigious Sekai Taikai tournament in Japan. Despite defeating Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) and his aggressive Cobra Kai dojo in the previous season, their rivalry is expected to reignite in the final season.
According to Netflix’s description, “Picking up with Cobra Kai eliminated from the Valley, our senseis and students must decide if and how they will compete in the Sekai Taikai—the world championships of karate.”
Release Dates for Cobra Kai Season 6:
As mentioned earlier, the season finale of The Karate Kid franchise will be delivered in 3 installments of 5 episodes each, totaling 15 episodes for Season 6. Part one is set to premiere on July 18, part two on November 28, and the final event in 2025, anticipated to be sometime before May 30, coinciding with the movie’s opening.
