Well, Comoros is scheduled to play with the host nation, the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon on Monday, January 24, 2022, at 7:00pm GMT. The game between the two countries is a game which will be an easy one as expectations are very high at the moment.

With that being said, it is very bad that Comoros just as the headline said, will be playing the game without a recognized goalkeeper, their keeper, Salim Ben Boina was injured in their final Group C match against the Black Stars of Ghana, while fellow keepers Ali Ahamada and Moyadh Ousseini have tested positive for Covid-19.

And as it is already known in the African Cup Of Nations rules, both sides must play if they have 11 fit players.

As it stands now, one player will have to stand in the goal post as a goalkeeper since none of their keepers are fit for the game.

Jean-Daniel Padovani who is the goalkeeping coach for Comoros has said that an outfield player would act in the capacity of a keeper and that the player to take on the mantel has already been chosen even though he did not disclose the details of the said player.

“We have already chosen an outfield player who will start as a goalkeeper,”

“He is a player who, during training, showed that he could play as a goalkeeper,” Jean-Daniel said.
