Conor McGregor is vowing to appeal after being found liable in a civil rape and sexual assault case.

On November 22, 2024, an Irish jury determined that the 36-year-old MMA fighter was responsible for assaulting Nikita Hand in 2018. The jury awarded Hand around $257,000 in damages.

The case stems from an incident in December 2018 when Hand, intoxicated at a company holiday party in Dublin, invited McGregor to join her and a friend.

She accused McGregor, as well as his friend James Lawrence, of assaulting her. However, the jury did not find Lawrence liable.

Following the verdict, McGregor took to social media to lash out, calling Hand a “vicious liar” and claiming that he had been falsely accused.

In a series of posts, McGregor celebrated Lawrence’s exoneration and accused Hand of changing her story.

He questioned the court’s decision and vowed to continue his legal fight, writing, “We are not done yet. Not by a long shot.”

McGregor has faced multiple accusations of sexual assault over the years. In 2022, a woman claimed McGregor punched her and threatened to drown her during a celebration in Ibiza.

In 2023, another woman accused him of assault at a Miami venue, but the case was dropped due to insufficient evidence.
