Garth Brooks, who happens to be an American country music icon has been accused of sexual assault and battery by a woman identified as “Jane Roe,” .
This revelation was according to a lawsuit filed in California on Thursday, October 3.
The plaintiff, who worked as a hairstylist and makeup artist for the award-winning singer, claims that Brooks raped her during a work trip in 2019.
Subsequently, the lawsuit alleges that Roe first began providing hair and makeup services for Brooks in 2017, though she had worked for his wife, Trisha Yearwood, as early as 1999.
Additionally, Roe accuses Brooks of not only sexual assault and battery but also of exposing himself repeatedly, discussing sexual fantasies, and sending sexually explicit text messages.
According to the suit, the most serious incident occurred in May 2019, when Roe claims Brooks raped her in a Los Angeles hotel room while the two were in the city for a Grammy tribute performance.
Roe alleges that Brooks booked a suite with only one bedroom, and after arriving at the hotel, he appeared naked in the doorway and forced her into non-consensual sexual acts.

Brooks had previously tried to prevent the accusations from becoming public by filing a lawsuit under the pseudonym “John Doe,” in which he denied Roe’s claims.
In this earlier filing, Brooks stated that Roe’s attorney had sent a demand letter seeking employment and benefits in exchange for silence, which Brooks refused.
Brooks’ legal team has strongly denied the allegations, arguing that the claims are fabricated and intended to cause irreparable harm to his reputation, family, and career.
Roe’s attorneys, however, maintain that Brooks will be held accountable, with lawyer Douglas Wigdor stating, “We are confident that Brooks will be held accountable for his actions.
The complaint filed today demonstrates that sexual predators exist not only in corporate America, Hollywood, and in the rap and rock industries but also in the world of country music.”
The case is expected to bring further attention to sexual misconduct in the entertainment industry, including the country music scene, which has not previously faced as many high-profile cases as other sectors.
