A Philadelphia couple has made history as the world’s oldest newlyweds, officially breaking the Guinness World Record.
Bernie Littman, 100, and Marjorie Fiterman, 102, tied the knot earlier this year, setting a new record for the combined age of the couple, which totals an impressive 202 years and 271 days.
The couple found love in a senior living facility, where they had both lived for several years after the passing of their respective first spouses.
Though they had been neighbors on the same floor for some time, it wasn’t until they met at a costume party that their romance blossomed.

Bernie and Marjorie quickly bonded over shared meals and participation in the community’s social activities, and their relationship grew over the course of nine years.
Their wedding, held on May 19, was an intimate affair at the same senior facility where they first met.
Surrounded by family, including four generations of Bernie’s relatives, the couple exchanged vows in a heartwarming ceremony.
Bernie and Marjorie were escorted to the altar in wheelchairs, with their loved ones holding up a traditional Jewish wedding canopy, or chuppah.
Adam Wohlberg, who officiated the ceremony, shared a personal message with the couple. He noted that their years of experience and the deep love they had for each other made their decision to marry feel like the perfect step.
“What you know and understand about each other is exactly what the future holds for you,” Wohlberg said.
For Bernie, his longevity and happiness are attributed to his love for reading and staying mentally active, while Marjorie swears by the power of buttermilk.
This delightful love story has inspired many, proving that love can find you at any stage in life.
