The Circuit Court in Accra presided over by Justice Emmanuel Essandoh has ordered the Prosecution to release the mobile phones taken away from Ghanaian dancehall recording artiste, Charles Nii Armah Mensah aka Shatta Wale back to him.
This comes after Jerry Avenorgbo, who happens to e the Lawyer of the Dancehall recording artiste, Shatta Wale pleaded that phones belonging to the artiste be returned to him.
Even though the prosecution led by Chief Inspector Dennis Terkpetey was opposed to the release of the phones, the court asked for them to be released. According to Sarrfm.com.gh.
“after all, the accused is presumed innocent until proven otherwise.” said the court after listening to the parties after they pleaded not guilty to the charge of the publication of false on social media.
The court then gave the order that the phones of the accused persons should be released to them since the alleged offenses were allegedly made on social media.
In our earlier post, we made it known that Shatta Wale and his three accomplices, as well as Medikal, were expected to reappear in court today November 9th, 2021.
AMG Beyond Kontrol rapper, Medikal’s case has been adjourned to December 7.
