Cristiano Ronaldo is growing concerned over Man United’s transfer plans after losing six players as free agents this summer and are yet to sign anyone under new manager, Erik ten Hag.

The transfer window is now in to its 12th day but United have yet to secure their first summer signing after their rivals Liverpool, Man City, Arsenal and Tottenham strengthening with new additions to compete for trophies next season.

Man United new boss Erik ten Hag is looking to revamp the squad and has identified five new faces with Frenkie de Jong, Christian Eriksen, Antony, Jurrien Timber and a reserve goalkeeper the current targets.

It likely United will begin their pre-season next Monday without any new signing, several players including Ronaldo, have been given an extended break after they played runs of international fixtures earlier this month.

Manchester United are still in discussions with Barcelona over a potential deal for Erik ten Hag’s primary target Frenkie de Jong.

According to reports, Barcelona are demanding north of £70m for the playmaker despite their willingness to offload him.

The Spanish giants are looking to sell some of their key players this summer in order to manoeuvre within La Liga’s financial rules amid their huge debts.

The report claims: ‘Ronaldo wants reinforcements at Manchester United, but so far it does not seem that the club is going to enforce the squad changes that he considers necessary.’
