Popular Nigerian reggae musician, Cynthia Morgan has opened up finally as to why she decided to move away from the public domain and staying low-key and behind the scenes.
According to the singer, the reason she has decided to abandon her musical ambitions and Grammy hopes is that she has finally grown to embrace her connection with God.
According to her, she was born a “Prophet,” but she struggled with it because she was raised in a Jehova Witness home, and they believe that Jesus was the last prophet.

This simply means that they do not believe in the existence of other prophets ltil the second coming of Jesus Christ, which she grew up to also believe in until she matured.
Her gift was to become a prophet, which she kept to herself and only her family was aware of. In her Instagram post, she also stated that she began studying music at the age of 16 in the hopes of overcoming her prophecy gift, but to no avail.
The music wasn’t able to keep her away from it until she was 25, when she realized the gift from God was going nowhere and she had no choice but to embrace it, and in doing so she decided to stay out of the public eye, which is why she hasn’t been active in the music business.
She wrote:
“The answer is, I was born a prophet, but I was born into a Jehovah witness home and their belief is that Jesus was the last prophet so they don’t believe there will be prophets till the second coming of Jesus Christ. This was also my belief at that time, so I kept it to myself, only my immediate family knew about it.
“At 16, I went into music thinking my gift of prophecy was a fluke thinking it will stop. At 25 I realised I wasn’t going anywhere. I struggled with God, begging Him, I had to win a grammy before I accepted my calling properly, so far I have realized I am wasting my time. This is one of the major reasons I withdrew from the public eye.”
