A Virginia man, Nathaniel Lee Edmonds, is currently in custody after reportedly admitting to choking his 1-year-old son to death.
The incident which occurred last month, shocked the local community as authorities alleged that Edmonds took the life of his child in a disturbing case of domestic violence after becoming frustrated with his son for “not listening” to him.
Edmonds, 34, was arrested on September 18th and is being detained in the Rappahannock-Shenandoah-Warren Regional Jail without bond, according to jail records.
He is facing charges of second-degree murder in connection to the tragic death of his son.
While details about the legal process remain unclear, it has not yet been confirmed whether Edmonds has entered a plea or secured legal representation. The case is drawing significant attention due to the horrific nature of the allegations.

The sad news was reported to the Police by the boy’s mother, who returned home from work to find her child lying unresponsive in his bed.
According to the criminal complaint filed in court, Edmonds was supposed to be watching his son at the time but was nowhere to be found when the mother arrived.
The child was immediately rushed to Warren Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving. Edmonds’ sudden disappearance raised alarms with both his family and law enforcement, and a search for him began.
Hours after the mother’s heartbreaking discovery, police located Edmonds walking down a street roughly seven miles from the family’s home in Front Royal, Virginia. Upon being detained by authorities, Edmonds allegedly confessed to the crime.
Edmonds allegedly detailed that he had used his hands to choke the child for several minutes, and after the assault, left the scene before his wife returned home from work.
