Davido Unfollows Medikal On Instagram

By Majesty 2 Min Read

After Ghanaian rapper Medikal called his artist Dremo a musician with “no successes,” Nigerian musician Davido unfollowed Medikal on Instagram.

The existing rap feud between Ghanaian and Nigerian artists has been exacerbated by this event.

The conflict started when Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie dropped his most recent single, “Brag,” in which he arrogantly declared his dominance over well-known Nigerian musicians Davido, Burna Boy, and Wizkid.

Artiste Dremo, who works with Davido, responded with a diss track directed at Sarkodie, pushing him to answer.

As Ghanaian rappers backed Sarkodie and released a string of diss singles criticising Dremo and his cronies, the situation swiftly became more heated. Medikal entered the debate and criticised Dremo’s record, calling him a rapper with “zero successes.”

Davido unfollowed Medikal on Instagram as a result of his comment. After noticing the action, Medikal went to X to handle the matter.

He tweeted that he was a believer in loyalty and that, even if he would rather not discuss his problems in public, he felt obliged to block Davido on Instagram in return for his actions.

I think loyalty is a good thing. Medikal tweeted, “Normally I don’t bring issues to the public, but after Davido unfollowed me, I had to react by blocking him on Instagram.

Since then, the already-heated argument has become more intense due to social media exchanges that have brought supporters and admirers into the conflict and brought attention to the rivalry between the Nigerian and Ghanaian music sectors.
