Controversial Nigerian music star, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has stirred up social media with his recent allegations against award-winning singer Davido.

After alleging that Davido born with his legal name David Adeleke exploited him for social media clout without offering any monetary compensation.

Portable claims that during a dinner in Atlanta, USA, Davido promised to feature him but failed to follow through.

The street-hop singer expressed his frustration in a video recorded on Tuesday, stating that Davido gave him bad advice, including suggesting he record with Empire Music while Davido worked with Sony Music.

Portable insists he is a “superstar” and that Davido should have paid him $10,000 for their collaboration efforts.

He remarked, “Davido ripped me, you invited me out for dinner, you posted me, but you didn’t give me a verse, you didn’t give me money, you just used me to trend. $10,000 wouldn’t have been bad if you gave me that at least.”

Portable claimed that despite flying first-class to America, he received nothing from Davido. He added, “He didn’t give me anything, he is just flattering. He is not one of my philanthropists because he didn’t give me money.”

The tension between Portable and Davido escalated when Portable made several statements that led to Davido unfollowing him on Instagram. This act further fueled Portable’s outrage and public complaints.

Portable alleged that Zlatan advised him to be cautious with Davido, mentioning that they belong to the same confraternity, which Portable referred to as “Aye.” He also noted that Zlatan has been with Wizkid, who is in the same group, but without any issues.

The “Zazoo” crooner warned Zlatan to stop making derogatory comments about him. The allegations and ongoing drama have kept fans and followers engaged, with many taking sides in the dispute.

Portable’s grievances highlight the challenges and complexities in the Nigerian music industry, where collaborations can sometimes lead to misunderstandings and disputes. The artist’s public outcry reflects his dissatisfaction with how he believes he has been treated by Davido and others in the industry.

As the situation continues to unfold, it remains to be seen how Davido and Zlatan will respond to Portable’s accusations.

The music community and fans are watching closely, eager to see if the conflict will be resolved or if it will further intensify.
