DDG Claims He’s Been ‘Fighting’ to See Son Halo, Calls Himself a ‘Nanny’

Rapper DDG has publicly expressed his frustration about being unable to spend time with his 14-month-old son, Halo, whom he shares with ex-girlfriend, actress and singer Halle Bailey.

In a since-deleted post on X, DDG, 27, claimed that he has been “fighting to see my son for months now,” and emphasized how difficult the situation has been for him, calling it “not fair.”

“I really feel like I’m a f—— nanny at this point,” DDG added during a livestream, according to TMZ. “The nanny has been able to have my son more than me. And I don’t even know the nanny’s name. Like, it’s just not fair bro.”

The rapper’s emotional post comes after a months-long struggle to spend time with Halo, with DDG acknowledging the challenges many fathers face in similar situations.

While both DDG and Bailey have not yet commented directly on the claims, their co-parenting situation appears to be a source of ongoing tension.

This isn’t the first time the former couple’s dynamic has sparked public conversation. After announcing their breakup in October 2024, DDG shared a heartfelt statement on social media, expressing mutual respect for Bailey despite their separation.

He wrote that their love for each other remained “deep and true,” and that they would focus on co-parenting Halo as they each pursued their individual journeys.

Despite the breakup, the two were recently spotted together celebrating their son’s first birthday in a series of joyful family photos posted by Bailey on Instagram.

The birthday celebration, which had a Cocomelon theme, included a bounce house, ball pit, and a personalized cake, with both parents sharing in the moment.

While their relationship may have changed, it’s clear that both parents are committed to supporting Halo, though DDG’s recent remarks highlight the difficulties of navigating co-parenting in the public eye.
