The passing of football legend Pele has shocked the whole football community.

He underwent surgery to have a colon tumor removed in September 2021 at the Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo, which was discovered on him during routine checkups.

To that effect, He was readmitted to the hospital in the closing days of November 2022.

His daughter Kely Nascimento frequently shared updates from the hospital on social media to let her followers know how her father was doing.

Great footballers and others involved in football have flooded social media in the wake of his passing to pay eloquent tribute to the man who is recognized as the greatest player in the entire history of football.
