Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has accused federal prosecutors of altering evidence to make him appear more dangerous ahead of his upcoming bail hearing.
In court documents filed by his legal team, Diddy claims that prosecutors presented an edited version of a 2016 surveillance video to a judge to strengthen their case against him.
The video in question reportedly shows an incident between Diddy and singer Cassie Ventura at a hotel in March 2016.
Diddy’s lawyers argue that the edited version of the video misrepresents the events, suggesting that it was manipulated to portray him in a more negative light.

They assert that the unedited footage, which they say the prosecution possesses, provides a more accurate depiction of what they describe as a “domestic dispute” rather than a violent confrontation.
According to Diddy’s defense team, the video shows Diddy throwing the contents of a vase during the altercation, not the entire vase as suggested by the prosecution.
They call the incident a “sad glimpse into a decade-long consensual relationship,” dismissing claims that it was a case of coercion or abuse.
The case also includes serious accusations of sex trafficking and “freak-off” events. Diddy vehemently denies these claims, saying that the allegations have been exaggerated to influence the judge’s decision on his bail.
