Dumelo accuses Lydia Alhassan of lacking tangible projects, only distributing rice and oil as MP

John Dumelo, an actor and politician from Ghana, has taken aim at Lydia Alhassan, the current member of parliament for the Ayawaso West Wuogon seat, claiming that she hasn’t done much since taking office.

It was brought up by Dumelo that the MP, in her time in office, had not started any noteworthy projects in the constituency. In his view, she does not truly address the concerns of the populace and merely distributes rice and oil to constituents when elections are about to take place.

Dumelo advised Lydia to concentrate on addressing infrastructure issues and generating job possibilities in order to have a significant influence on the lives of the people, in an interview with 3FM.

“There is nothing that Lydia Alhassan has done in the past six years, if you were to ask. Inquiring as to what Lydia did at the airport, you can Nothing at all In order to get them to vote, all she is doing is giving them rice and oil. People come before oil and rice. They require infrastructure, employment, and opportunity.

In the forthcoming 2024 parliamentary elections, Dumelo will face off against Lydia Alhassan in the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency, on the National Democratic Congress (NDC) banner.

Who will win the hotly contested elections on December 7, 2024, is still up in the air.
