​Eligibility: Do You Qualify?

​The Dutch Ministry has kept the criteria focused on impact and ambition. To be considered for this international study and leadership opportunity, you must meet the following:

  1. ​Age: You must be aged 18 to 35 by the One Young World Summit in November 2026.
  2. ​Role: You must be leading or part of a scalable start-up or SME with demonstrated social and/or environmental impact.
  3. ​Residency: You must be a national and resident of an eligible country. The list includes:
    • ​Africa: Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Egypt, Morocco, Uganda, Ethiopia, Senegal, Benin, Côte d’Ivoire, Mozambique, Burundi, Mali, Algeria, Sudan, South Sudan, Somalia, Burkina Faso, and Niger.
    • ​Middle East: Iraq (including Kurdistan region), Jordan, Lebanon, Tunisia, and Palestinian Territories.
  4. ​Language: A working understanding of English is required.
  5. ​Availability: You must be available full-time for programme participation between 30 October – 7 November 2026.

Note: The Dutch Ministry strongly encourages applications from diverse entrepreneurs, including those in rural and underserved communities.
