Ghanaian Afropop, dancehall, and reggae musician, Stonebwoy has finally raised concerns regarding the kind of policies implemented by some African governments.
This comment was made by Stonebwoy using his official and verified Twitter account on Saturday, February 12, 2022.
The dancehall recording artiste, Stonebwoy born with his legal name Livingstone Etse Satekla made this post following the trending issue in Ghana, that has to do with the controversial E-levy tax.

The Electronic Transaction Levy (E-Levy) Tax, has for some time now become the hottest issue now in Ghana since the ruling government NPP proposed it.
Introduction of the E-levy bill by Ghana’s Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Attah some months ago and it has generated hew and cry across the country with many not happy with the Government’s decision to tax transactions.
Should this bill be passed, it means, each and every individual in Ghana who makes a mobile money transaction will be charged a 1.75% of the amount used for the transaction if it exceeds GHS 100.
Many Ghanaian celebrities and colleagues of the dancehall recording singer in the likes of Sarkodie, Kwaw Kese, and others have also shared their disappointments in the Ghanaian government for their attempt to pass the bill which they see to be useless.
Stonebwoy said something which was a bit similar to what his colleague Sarkodie said, according to the dancehall artiste, African governments have always implement many money-making initiatives to make money off the commoner in a form of tax but have done nothing with the funds accumulated.
