The coach of the Egyptian national team, Rui Vitoria, has accepted that his team and Mohammed Kudus will face off against Ghana this evening.
Prior to this thrilling match on Thursday, the Portuguese manager declared his team was prepared for the task presented by Kudus, the standout player from Ghana.
“For me, it’s clear. For me, he’s [Mohammed Kudus] a fantastic player, he’s doing well in the English Premier League. I am ready to face that kind of player, we are ready for that. We will prepare the team for that,” Coach Rui Victoria said.
In their second match of the ongoing 2023 AFCON, the Pharaohs and Black Stars Group B will square off as both sides look to win their first match in the competition.
Ghana suffered an unexpected 1-2 loss to Cape Verde, while Vitoria’s team drew 2-2 with Mozambique in their tournament opener.
“We will have to control him but not only him because the Ghana team is a very good team and all the players are good.”, coach Rui added
