Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are officially cutting ties with their U.S. properties as they settle into their new life in the English countryside.
The couple has sold their West Hollywood home, marking another step in their transition to a quieter, more peaceful life abroad.
The two-bedroom, two-bathroom Spanish bungalow, listed for $4,995,000, was located near the beautiful Butterfly Beach and spanned 1,691 square feet.
After just two days on the market, the home went into escrow and was sold for $5.2 million, exceeding its asking price.
The sale was handled by the Riskin Partners Estate Group, which reported multiple offers on the property within days of its listing.
This recent sale is part of a larger pattern for DeGeneres, who, alongside her wife, de Rossi, has been downsizing their real estate holdings in the U.S.

The couple, known for their extensive property portfolio, purchased the West Hollywood home in 2021 for $2.9 million.
The midcentury-modern home, built in 1954 and remodeled in 2012, boasted features like spa-inspired bathrooms, a private terrace, and soundproof fencing, all designed to create a serene living experience.
Ellen and Portia’s decision to leave the U.S. comes after they officially relocated to the Cotswolds in England in late 2024.
DeGeneres, an avid collector and flipper of properties, found her dream home in the picturesque English countryside and made the move soon after.
As she explained in 2023, house flipping is her form of travel, allowing her to experience different “scenery” without leaving her general area.
