Elon Musk announced on Tuesday that he will leave his position as Twitter’s CEO once a successor has been found.
“As soon as I find someone naive enough to accept the position of CEO, I will step down from it! I will then only be in charge of the software and server teams “Musk tweeted something.
I will resign as CEO as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take the job! After that, I will just run the software & servers teams.

Since Twitter users overwhelmingly chose for him to stand down in a poll that the billionaire started on Sunday night, this is the first time Musk has acknowledged leaving his position as the social media platform’s CEO.
Wall Street has been calling on Musk to leave for weeks, and more recently even Tesla Inc. bulls have questioned his focus on social media and whether it is keeping him from properly leading the electric vehicle industry, where he plays a key role in product design and engineering.
Musk has himself admitted he had too much on his plate, and said he would look for a Twitter CEO. He said on Sunday, though, that there was no successor and that “no one wants the job who can actually keep Twitter alive.”
