Ghanaian gospel musician Empress Gifty has announced the funeral arrangements for her late mother, Evangelist Agnes Abafoduba Annan, affectionately known as Maame Fanti or Agaga.

Madam Annan passed away on December 14, 2024, at the age of 70, following a brief illness.

The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the Tema Community 8 No. 3 School Park, where she will be laid in state. The burial will take place on the same day, followed by the final funeral rites at the same venue.

The family has designated an all-white dress code for the occasion.

A Thanksgiving service is planned for Sunday, January 19, 2025, at the Bethel Family Assemblies of God Church in Tema Community 22, bringing together family, friends, and sympathizers to honor her memory.

The late Evangelist Agnes Abafoduba Annan is survived by her five children.

The lone daughter of four sons, Empress Gifty, shared her deep sorrow at her mother’s death, and in order to give her mother a dignified send-off, she has invited her admirers and well-wishers to join the family.

“My late mother, Evangelist. Agnes Abafoduba Annan finally goes home on January 18, 2025. I cordially invite you all to come and mourn with me and my family as we give our mother a befitting burial.” Empress Gifty said on social media while announcing the burial arrangement.
