Incoming Man United manager is set to attract a host of stars to the club, a reunion with Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona, while Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is also on the shortlist of players as the Red Devils begin planning for Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba’s imminent departures.

The Red Devils have one game left of their worst ever season in the Premier League, but plans are already well underway for next season as they look to rectify an abysmal campaign with Erik ten Hag in charge.

A lack of Champions League football could become a problem, but Man United are confident that a reunion with Erik ten Hag could be enough for de Jong to settle on a move to the north west.

De Jong who joined Barcelona from Ajax for a fee £65million is expected to depart for a similar fee due to their financial plight and losses during the Covid 19 pandemic.

Incoming United manager Erik ten Hag who worked with De Jong at Ajax between 2017 and 2019 has make his former player one of his top target but no deal is imminent.

De Jong helped Ajax reach the Champions League semi-finals in 2019 before he moved to Camp Nou side Barcelona.

Frankie De Jong has two years left on his Barcelona contract, numerous media outlets predicting that the transfer between both clubs will happen in the coming weeks.
