Famouz Kwabena, a Kasoa-based rapper and former member of the music duo Famouz, has released the official music video for his latest release, ‘Free Kasoa’ (Kasoa 4 Sale).
In this newly released song, Famouz Kwabena attempts to change people’s perceptions of Kasoa.
Kasoa, a town in Ghana’s central region that serves as the entry point to the Central region from Accra, has been labeled as one of the country’s most notorious towns following recent issues involving the murder of a teen for money ritual as well as some killings that were reported in the news not long ago.
The rapper in Free Kasoa defends his hood Kasoa, describes the town as cool town which houses a lot of talents, and the youth as hardworking young people who are always keeping up on their little hustle in order to survive.
According to Famouz Kwabena, after passing and surviving the hardship/hustle at Kasoa, one will be able to survive in any part of Ghana.
Kasoa is full of humble and smart youths, gifted with a plethora of talents who obviously need the opportunity to shine, and they’re pleading with the public to disregard all of the stigmatization associated with the town.
