Fantana’s mother beats NPP's Paul Essien to win Jomoro seat

Madam Dorcas Affio-Toffe, who is the mother of Ghanaian musical artiste, Fantana has been declared the winner of the Jomoro parliamentary election.

Dorcas won the Jomoro parliamentary seat on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Western Region of Ghana after defeating Paul Essien of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Dorcas Affo-Toffey won Jomoro Constituency seat by polling a total of 24,356 votes, while the incumbent MP Paul Essien, had 19,889 votes.

Prior to the December 7 election, Fantana invited the dancehall king, Shatta Wale who went there puporsely to launch his Jomoro Shatta Movement Fanbase, they also took some time off during the process to outdoor her mother to the crowed and campaigned to secure her win.

The musician on Tuesday, December 8 took to her Instagram page where she shared some sweet words to congratulate her mother for winning the election.

“Mom, You are the HOPE of JOMORO!. YOU WON! YOU DID IT! Born LEADER !You are for the. PEOPLE and we love you!!! I’m sooo proud of you. Jomoro, you guys are in good hands! The FINEST MP, THE REALEST! Wo y3 GUY!!!! @dorcasaffotoffey We are ready” – she wrote.
