A father has been arrested in California after allegedly murdering his 1-year-old son and assaulting his wife and mother-in-law in a horrific family disturbance.
Andrey Demskiy, 28, was taken into custody around 4:15 a.m. on Friday, December 20, after authorities responded to a 911 call reporting an ongoing family dispute.
The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) deputies arrived at the scene and were informed that Demskiy’s wife had been assaulted by him, along with her mother.
When officers attempted to make contact with Demskiy, he refused to answer the door, and concerns grew when it was revealed that his young child was inside the residence with him.
Police learned that the toddler had possibly been injured after being thrown.

SCSO deputies forced their way into the home and discovered a horrifying scene. Demskiy was reportedly uncooperative and physically resisted arrest.
In a bedroom, authorities found the severed head of the 1-year-old child, later identified as Micha Demskiy. Investigators confirmed that the father had used a knife to decapitate his son.
Demskiy was arrested and booked into the Sacramento County Jail, where he faces three felony charges: assault by means of force likely to produce great bodily injury, corporal injury to a spouse or cohabitant, and murder.
He is currently in custody without bail and is scheduled for a court appearance on December 24.
Demskiy’s mother-in-law was transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The child’s mother, Angelina Demskiy, has been identified by loved ones and a GoFundMe campaign in Micha’s memory has already raised over $57,000 to support her and the family during this unimaginable time.
The tragic and shocking event has left the community in grief, and authorities continue to investigate the disturbing case.
