LAS VEGAS — A federal judge threw out FBI Director Kash Patel’s $10 million defamation lawsuit against online blogger Jim Stewartson on Tuesday.
Chief District Judge Andrew Gordon ruled in Nevada that the court lacked “personal jurisdiction” over the internet commentator. The decision ends a long legal fight that started before Patel became the head of the FBI.
Patel first sued Stewartson in June 2023. He claimed the blogger defamed him online by calling him a “blatantly incompetent chud” and a “Kremlin asset” who planned to “overthrow the government” on January 6, 2021.
Stewartson did not respond to the lawsuit at first. That allowed Patel to win a $250,000 default judgment in August 2025.
Stewartson later challenged the ruling in court. He argued that he had no real ties to Nevada where Patel filed the case. During his legal challenge, Stewartson declared that Patel was a “googly-eyed Kremlin bitch” and, again, a “chud.”
Judge Gordon sided with Stewartson and dismissed the case. The judge referenced the phrase “googly-eyed Kremlin bitch” in a footnote inside his final order.
Stewartson celebrated his legal victory on social media after the judge released the order.
“I’d like to commend the judge for including ‘googly-eyed Kremlin bitch’ in his ruling,” Stewartson wrote on X Tuesday.
He added in another post: “PSA: Now that my case is settled, you are free to refer to @FBIDirectorKash as a ‘chud,’ a ‘googly-eyed Kremlin bitch,’ and a ‘traitor’ without fear of legal repercussions!”
