After a long wait, the Qatar 2022 FIFA world cup draw has finally been announced, and we can tell how eager most of you football lovers out there have been to determine who plays who.

The announcement of the final draw for the upcoming 22nd edition of the Fifa World Cup tournaments which will kickstart in November/December this year at Qatar took place at the Doha Exhibition & Conference Centre on Friday, April 1, 2022, in Qatar.

Prior to Friday, April 1, 2022’s final draw, FIFA organized its 72nd FIFA Congress, on Thursday, March 31, which also took place in Qatar’s capital, Doha which saw FIFA’s president Gianni Imfantino speaking as the main speaker.

In this final draw, fans and teams will know the groups they belong to, as well as also know who they are up against as they prepare and look forward to the biggest milestone ahead of football’s flagship event as it fast approaches.

The countries occupying positions 8-15 in the ranking of the qualified teams were allocated to Pot 2, while the 16th-23rd best-ranked qualifiers were also placed in Pot 3. Finally, Pot 4 however includes the qualified teams in positions 24 to 28, plus three placeholders representing the two winners of the intercontinental play-offs and the remaining UEFA play-off winner.
