In a surprising turn of events, a Ghanaian woman has publicly demanded a significant financial settlement from her ex-boyfriend following the end of their relationship.
Speaking on Oyerepa FM, the unnamed woman expressed her frustration over what she described as a year of emotional investment, claiming that her former partner, identified only as Kwame, had taken advantage of her.
The woman recounted their relationship, stating, “I dated him for a year, and he chopped me throughout the 365 days with no breaks.”
Her hopes of advancing their relationship were shattered when Kwame abruptly left her for another woman.
Feeling betrayed and used, she announced her demand for GH¢200,000 as compensation for the emotional turmoil caused by the breakup.
“I would not allow him to use and dump me; he must compensate me with GH¢200k… I will take the money, I’m not a fool,” she asserted during the interview, making it clear that she felt her emotional investment deserved recognition.
In a TikTok video of the interview, the woman further accused Kwame of being a chronic cheat, claiming he had dated numerous women in their community.
“I thought he was a good person; I thought he was a family man who cared about me,” she lamented.
