EC releases presidential election results from 7 regions

The Electoral Commission (EC) of the Republic of Ghana has released certified presidential election results coming from 7 regions.

Jean Mensa, the EC boss in a press briefing that held on Wednesday dawn, December 9, 2020, at 12:30 stated that they have received results from 14 regions out of 16 in total regions, and according to her, seven (7) of the results have been certified.

The seven results that have been verified now are Volta, North East, Central, Ahafo, Upper West, Oti and Bono. the other seven that are still undergoing verification also are, Ashanti, Eastern, Western, Western North, Upper East, Greater Accra and Savannah.

These regions; Bono East and Northern are the two (2) remaining regions that are yet to provide the EC with their result.

These released results from the seven regions put John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in a comfortable lead with a total sum of 1,997,450 while Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo (NPP) totals to 1,500,310.
