EC Releases Pink Sheets for December 7 Presidential Election

The Electoral Commission (EC) has released the summary results sheets used to collate the 2020 presidential elections.

Popularly known as pink sheets, the official documents of the EC show the total number of votes each presidential candidate garnered in the December 7 general election.

Based on the numbers stated on the pink sheets, the Returning Officer, Jean Mensa announced the New Patriotic Party’s Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as the winner of the elections.

According to the verdict given by Jean Mensa on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate, Akufo-Addo defeated John Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the December 7, 2020, polls.

Akufo-Addo of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) managed to poll a total of 6,730, 413 which is 51.59%, while John Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) polled 6, 214, 889 which gives him 47.36% of the total votes cast.
