Ghana Police finally gets hold of a 22-year-old man for allegedly defrauding persons under the pretext of selling iPhones to them.

The 22-year old young man who is identified as Vincent Tawiah, according to reports was arrested on Monday, May 10, 2021, by officers of the National Police Operations Department.

Vincent who has been doing this for some time now without being caught was arrested after the Police used one of his victims as bait. And following his arrest, other victims also showed up to identify him as having defrauded them.

Vincent Tawiah uses social media platforms like Instagram in advertising his iPhones with prices of the phones ranging from GH₵1,000 to GH₵5,000, which is a bit interesting because the prices cost lesser than the actual prices of the iPhone in the market.

He would then ask interested persons to send money via mobile money number 0551978205 registered in the name of Rhydale Addae.

The Police is therefore asking persons who have also been defrauded by the suspect to report to the National Operations Department at the Police Headquarters, Ring Road Accra or call 0238894764.
