Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Add, the President of the Republic of Ghana has asked Ghanaians to be each other’s keeper in his new message to Ghanaians ahead of Easter festivities.
Easter is a Christian festival and holiday celebrated in commemorating the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, it starts from tomorrow, Friday, April 2, which brings no joy, as it is a sad day since it marked the day Christ was killed, it goes through to Sunday, April 4th which is a joyful day as it marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ 3 days after he was crucified according to the bible.
Addressing the nation today, Thursday 1st April 2021, the president, Akufo-Addo who is very much concerned with the well-being of his citizens made a video post as he wishes all Christians well ahead of the celebrations.
In his message, he also sent some words of caution to keep each and everyone aware of the existence of the deadly Covid-19 pandemic, he advised that the right thing be done as we all know what we have to do to be safe and also to keep other safe, which is to follow the safety guidelines put in place.
“Let’s be each other’s keeper until COVID-19 is eradicated and poses no more threats to our lives and livelihoods.
“Whiles protecting ourselves from COVID-19, I want to appeal to you to do everything possible to reduce the occurrence of accidents to the barest minimum because yearly, it has been tragically a part of the celebration of Easter.”
President Akufo-Addo in his address also spoke on the economy of the country, affected by the outbreak of the CoronaVirus pandemic.
