The 81st annual Golden Globe Awards nominations have been revealed, announced on Monday morning, December 11, 2023 by the Organizers.
Cedric The Entertainer and Wilmer Valderrama announced the nominations in 27 categories, honoring the best in film and television.
In the comedy and drama categories at the 81st Golden Globe Awards, Greta Gerwig’s Barbie and Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer dominated. Barbie received nine nominations, while Oppenheimer got eight.

Barbie’s nominations included a Lead Actress nod for Margot Robbie and a Best Supporting Actor nomination for Ryan Gosling’s role as Ken. Oppenheimer earned director Christopher Nolan a nomination for Best Director, and actors Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr, and Emily Blunt also received acting nods.
Other notable films that made an impact on the nominations included Alexander Payne’s The Holdovers, Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon, and Bradley Cooper’s Maestro.
DATE: The 2024 Golden Globe Awards ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 7, from 8-11 p.m. ET (5-8 p.m. PT) and will be broadcast live on CBS as part of a new deal between the Golden Globes and the network. The ceremony will also be available for streaming on Paramount+ and the CBS app, with Paramount Global being the parent company of CBS.
