In a heartfelt plea, Christopher Mensah, the Assemblymember for Vodza/Adzido Electoral Area in the Keta Municipality, Volta Region, has called upon the government to expedite the resettlement of victims affected by the controlled spillage of the Akosombo and Kpong dams.
The victims, currently residing in unfavorable conditions, face the daunting task of rebuilding their lives after their households were devastated by the floods.
During a Village Life Outreach project organized by the True Worshippers Prophetic Dance Ministries, Mensah expressed his concerns, stating, “Our prayers are that the government will come to our aid and relocate our colleagues who live here to prevent their homes from getting flooded.”
Lamenting the minimal support received, Mensah highlighted that only around 50 victims out of many have received relief items from the government since the calamity struck.
However, he commended the True Worshippers Prophetic Dance Ministries for their efforts in bringing some relief and festive cheer to the flood-affected residents during Christmas.

The True Worshippers Prophetic Ministries, led by Apostle Vincent Anowie, organized a Christmas event that feted over 3,000 residents in the Vodza and Adodzi communities.
The elderly, persons with disabilities, widows, and widowers were presented with Christmas hampers, and beneficiaries also enjoyed free medical screenings, including general health consultations and eye screenings.
Apostle Anowie, acknowledging the challenges faced by the victims, appealed to philanthropic organizations to support the church’s outreach efforts, extending assistance to the less privileged in the Ghanaian community.
As the affected communities strive to recover from the man-made disaster, the True Worshippers Prophetic Dance Ministries aims to bring smiles and joy to those enduring difficult times during the festive season.
