Van Dien responded to the criticism she received for turning down acting projects and increasing her streaming activity, stating that she had negative experiences with some of the people she worked for in her recent projects. She explained that this was the reason for her decision, despite the backlash from some individuals.

“I’ve seen that some people are upset with me for turning down acting projects and deciding to stream more, but the fact of the matter is, the last few projects I’ve worked on, I didn’t have the best experiences with some of the people I had to work for,” said Van Dien.

Van Dien elaborated on her decision to focus on Twitch streaming, citing the importance of having complete control over her social interactions and privacy. She then revealed a specific incident from a past film project that influenced her decision, alleging that one of the producers hired a woman he was involved with and asked Van Dien to engage in a threesome with them.

Despite feeling uncomfortable, Van Dien declined the proposition and reported the incident to her management. She did not disclose the identities of the individuals involved or the name of the film project.

Van Dien further revealed that her castmate was present during the alleged offer and was equally shocked. The experience left them both emotionally distressed, resulting in a miserable shoot.

For the sake of her mental health, Van Dien decided that streaming was a better option for her at the moment, as it allowed her to play video games from the comfort of her own home without having to deal with such uncomfortable situations.

While she hasn’t given up on acting entirely, she’s currently more comfortable in the streaming world and is even developing her own projects where she can maintain control over the set and ensure that no one is pressured into sexual situations.
