GWR Responds to Afua Asantewaa

Afua Asantewaa eventually received feedback from the GWR regarding her Sing-a-thon after waiting for days, and sadly, it wasn’t good news for her.

Afua failed in her bold attempt to break the record for the longest singing marathon set by the Guinness World Record.

Despite her extraordinary efforts, which started at midnight on December 24, 2023, and went until the wee hours of December 29, 2023, she was unable to finish the required length of time, and she was disqualified.

Afua’s perseverance and the motivation she gave her followers during the marathon were praised by the Guinness World Records organization.

They still have hope that she may try again in the future, even though this attempt did not work out.

Guinness World Records stated in a statement that the proof verification procedure was underway prior to Afua’s request for priority assistance.

Her payment was therefore returned early in the month. They did, however, send Afua their best wishes for any future record attempts.

Afua’s commitment and tenacity throughout the 115-hour singing marathon bear witness to her love of music and her readiness to push the envelope of what is conceivable, even though the intended result was not attained.

Others are still motivated by her story to follow their aspirations with unwavering determination, no matter what happens.
