In a surprising turn of events, Devin Ratray, the 47-year-old actor famous for his role as Buzz in the iconic Home Alone films, has seen a delay in his domestic assault trial after being hospitalized.
Ratray, set to stand trial in Oklahoma, had his legal proceedings postponed indefinitely after his lawyers informed the judge and district attorney’s office of his hospitalization, as reported by NBC Montana.
Details surrounding Ratray’s hospitalization remain undisclosed, but according to US entertainment site TMZ, he was in a “critical condition.” Fortunately, Ratray has been released and is now back at home.
The actor was charged following an alleged altercation with his girlfriend in Oklahoma City in December 2021, to which he has pleaded not guilty.
According to court documents revealed by NBC Montana, the incident unfolded after two fans approached Ratray for an autograph, and his girlfriend, who Ratray claimed was “intoxicated,” gave away signed cards without charging for them.
This led to an argument in a hotel room, where Ratray allegedly pushed his girlfriend onto a bed, using physical force.
