This marks Billboard’s first-ever compilation dedicated to ranking the “Hottest Female Rappers.” They based their choices on the quality of records, chart success, cultural buzz, notable business ventures, partnerships, and touring achievements.
For a long time, the rap scene has been dominated by men, but in recent years, women have made a significant impact, driving hip-hop forward with their talent and influence.

Covering the first six months of 2024, Billboard’s new list features Nicki Minaj at the top spot as the best female rapper, followed by Sexyy Red, Megan Thee Stallion, and Doja Cat, with Cardi B securing the 7th position.
