A few weeks ago, a s3x video of Serwaa Amihere became viral. She has since apologised in public for the incident.

On Tuesday, April 2, the media celebrity and a man named Henry Fritz appeared in an obscene video that was released and extensively circulated on social media.

On April 8, three people were charged for allegedly distributing the private footage online, including Henry Fritz, who is still at large.

Serwaa Amihere paid a ransom to keep the naked video from going viral, according to the information contained in the charge sheet that was submitted in court. The three accused people shared the footage on social media even after they got the GH¢20,000 ransom that was sought.

The three are accused of conspiring to commit a crime, namely sharing private photos without permission, which is against both Section 67(1)(2) of the Cybersecurity Act 2020 (Act 1038) and Section 23(1) of the Criminal Offences Act 1960 (Act 29).

In a message shared on social media, Serwaa Amihere revealed that, five months before to the leak, she had been the victim of extortion and had worked with law enforcement to have the perpetrators arrested.

She expressed her regret for the leak, saying it was captured five years ago and has since embarrassed and disappointed her.

“Sincerely, I say sorry for the embarrassment, disappointment, and frustration that this matter has caused to my family and loved ones, to the distinguished businesses and brands I represent, and to you.”
