Popular Nigerian singer and record producer, David Adeleke aka Davido responds to talks that he extorted money from fans.
Recall that prior the the 29th birthday of Davido he took to his official Twitter page, called out his friends who claimed to love him, and also ones he has featured for on their songs and gave them hit song to donate 1 million naira each to him.
Well, friends showed bim love and he made over 200 million Naira (over 600,000 USD) from their kind hearted donations. some people have however accused him of asking his poor fans to donate money to him which isn’t true.

Afrobeat singer, in a recent interview with Zain Asher, an anchor on CNN news reiterates and set the records clear with his explanation that he never asked his fans to donate money to him.
In Davido’s explanation after interacting Zain’s question if he asked his fans to donate cash to him said instead, he asked his friends, especially those who have benefited from him to.
“i never said donate money to me, I said ‘if you’re my friend give me money,” he stated.
