Argentine professional footballer, Lionel Andrés Messi has thrown his full support behind his former Barcelona team-mate, Xavi as the right person to get Barca back to shape.
The former Barcelona player, Xavi, took over as the manager for the club just a few weeks ago taking over from Ronald Koeman, who was sacked after visiting the palace of current club Al-Sadd chairman to discuss his release.
Xavier Hernández Creus taking over to head Barca is well appreciated by many of the club’s supporters. The Camp Nou side won their first match under the former midfielder on Saturday, beating Catalan rivals Espanyol 1-0 in La Liga.

Lionel Andrés Messi is however convinced that selecting his former team-mate as head coach for Barca is a very good decision adding that he is the right person who can get the team back on its feet once again.
In a recent interview with Marca, Mess showered praises on Xavi, he noted that he is a very important person for the young people and that he has no doubt that he will help Barcelona grow.
“Xavi is a coach who knows a lot, who knows the house perfectly, who knows everything well since he was a child.
“He is a very important person for the young people and that he is a person who will make Barcelona grow a lot, I have no doubt.”- Messi told Marca.
