I will never quit music – Guru

By Majesty 2 Min Read

Maradona Yeboah Adjei, better known by his stage name Guru, has stated that he does not plan to give up on his gift, even though he wants to improve his scholastic standing in order to be better prepared for prospects outside of music.

He claims that while he will always pursue his first love, music, he will do everything it takes to make sure that he develops himself outside of the music industry.

“You can’t stop listening to music. A musician is lying if he claims to have abandoned music. They may not be putting out popular songs, but they are still writing music in their closets. We can’t let the microphone go because it is a part of who we are,” he remarked.

Guru made the decision to go to school because he believed that in order for performers to advance their intelligence, they needed to educate themselves and get ready for the future.

He pointed out that the majority of Ghanaian entertainers had realised this and had returned to school; some had even earned two master’s degrees.

In the meantime, Guru has declared his desire to run for the Premier University’s Student Representative Council President.

He is adamant that he has many plans for the university, which he adores, and he hopes that the students will provide him the authority to carry out his ideas and plans to improve the University of Ghana.
