The music world is mourning the loss of Jack Revill, widely known as Jackmaster, who passed away at the age of 38.
His family announced his death occurred in Ibiza on October 12, following complications from an accidental head injury.
In a heartfelt statement, Revill’s family expressed their deep sorrow, saying, “Jack tragically died… His family – Kate, Sean, and Johnny – are utterly heartbroken.”
They also requested privacy as they cope with this devastating loss.
Born in Glasgow, Revill began his career at the renowned record shop Rubadub and later co-founded the influential record label Numbers.
He was known for his vibrant energy and dedication to the electronic music scene. Recently, he released the single “Nitro,” featuring Kid Enigma, where he reflected on the changing atmosphere of club culture, lamenting the decline of dancing in favor of phones.
Fellow artists have shared their condolences, including the electronic duo Disclosure, who wrote on Instagram, “Can’t believe this. Heart broken.
