Controversial Ghanaian media personnel, Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, popularly known as Bulldog has urged the government of Ghana to think about purchasing hospital beds for hospital patients instead of channeling its effort into contructing a church.

This came after veteran actors Grace Omaboe, better known as Maame Donkono, and Bob Smith Jr. disclosed that the late actor Prince Yawson, well known as Waakye, died as a result of the paucity of beds in various Accra hospitals.

When the deceased actor’s health became very ill, they admitted, they took him to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, but the medical staff informed them there were no open beds at the time.

They immediately brought him to the Ridge Hospital and received the same justification. He was then brought to the 37 Military hospitals, where staff members were able to control his condition until his passing.

Bullgod’s response to this is that because the government has chosen to construct a National Cathedral for God, it should have rather concentrated on providing hospital beds for the sick.

In addition to that, Bullgod said it was unfortunate that Waakye had to die because of the delay in seeking medical attention for him during an interview on the Daybreak Hitz show with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM.

Bullgod claimed that Waakye’s life would have been prolonged should he have received medical attention at the first hospital.

He continued by saying that the government must concentrate on resolving this crucial problem, which mostly claims the lives of hospital patients.
