Afrobeat artiste Kelvyn Boy has opened up about his thoughts on the reception of the remix of his global hit, ‘Downflat’.

The Ghanaian musician has said that he was not disappointed that the remix did not achieve the same success as the original.

In an interview on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Kelvyn Boy expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to collaborate with two revered international artistes, Techno from Nigeria and Stefflon Don from the UK.

He believes that the affiliation and link-up alone will do a lot for the song and his career, regardless of whether the remix becomes a hit or not.

Kelvyn Boy went on to say that the international artistes were happy to work with him, and that through the collaboration he secured opportunities to work with both Techno and Stefflon Don on other songs.

The link-up was a result of the success of the original song ‘Downflat’, which was a global phenomenon within months of its release in early 2022.

The remix of ‘Downflat’ featuring Techno and Stefflon Don was released a few months later but did not achieve the same level of success.

However, Kelvyn Boy remains grateful for the impact that ‘Downflat’ has had on his career. In a September 2022 interview on Hitz FM, he revealed that the song’s popularity greatly impacted his finances and opened doors for him internationally.

Kelvyn Boy’s positive attitude towards the reception of the ‘Downflat’ remix is commendable, as it highlights the importance of collaboration and the long-term benefits that can come from working with other artists.

It also shows that success can come in many forms, and that even if a song or project does not achieve the desired level of success, it can still lead to positive outcomes and opportunities for growth.

In conclusion, Kelvyn Boy’s words serve as a reminder to focus on the bigger picture and not to be disheartened by short-term setbacks or disappointments.

His success story is a testament to the power of hard work, perseverance, and collaboration in the music industry.
