Israeli forces have reportedly killed key figures linked to Hezbollah, including individuals seen as successors to the late leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, according to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
In a pre-recorded video message, Netanyahu stated that Israel has significantly weakened Hezbollah by eliminating numerous terrorists, including those positioned to succeed Nasrallah.
While Netanyahu did not name the specific individuals targeted, he indicated that both Nasrallah and his replacements were among the casualties.
This follows recent airstrikes in Beirut, which Hezbollah claims disrupted search and rescue efforts for its leadership.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant also suggested that Nasrallah’s replacement had likely been eliminated.
Netanyahu emphasized that Hezbollah is currently weaker than it has been in years and urged the Lebanese people to reclaim their country from the militant group.
He warned that continued hostilities could lead to further suffering for all Lebanese, regardless of sect.
The backdrop of this escalation includes Hezbollah’s rocket attacks on Israel, which began after Hamas’s assault on southern Israel last October.
Netanyahu reiterated Israel’s right to defend itself and expressed confidence in the country’s ability to prevail in this ongoing conflict.
