It could be recalled that just some few weeks past, reggae/dancehall recording artistes, Stonebwoy also dragged GHAMRO over same royalty issues, Stonebwoy revealed that since he joined GHAMRO as an artiste over many years ago, the only money he has received as royalties is GHc2,000

The Madtimes Entertainment Boss, Kwaw Kese now joins Stonebwoy to address these sad issues facing Ghanaian artistes.

According to him, he has been making music in Ghana for over 20-years now and has never received any token from GHAMRO or anyone saying this is his royalty derived from his musical works, adding that that is the main reason why he had to relocate to the United States.

The rapper made this known in a recent interview on News @ 1 aired on Hitz FM.

“I have been doing music in Ghana for like 20 years and giving back to back hits, but I never received anything in terms of copyright, royalty, or any money that is due me, so I had to channel my energy to a different vibe, to a place where they will appreciate me and pay me for my efforts,” Kwaw said.

He also described GHAMRO as a non-serious entity that has failed. When questioned on whether or not he is a registered member of the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO), ‘Abodam’ as he is affectionately called said, “I don’t see GHAMRO as any serious association so let’s forget about them.”

The Madtime Entertainment boss is currently promoting his latest song ‘BumBum’, which features Yaw ToG, Skonti, Ypee and Akata Yesu.
