In a shocking revelation, Jamie Foxx shared details of the terrifying medical emergency that almost cost him his life.
The actor, comedian, and singer spoke candidly about his “near-death experience” during a taping of his new Netflix special, “Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was,” which premieres on December 10.
The 56-year-old Oscar winner, known for his comedic wit, opened up about the mysterious health scare that left him “literally within an inch of his life.”
According to Demecos Chambers, a long-time fan and attendee of the Atlanta taping, Foxx gave a detailed account of his shocking health scare.
He spoke about the terrifying moment when he collapsed on the set of his film Back in Action and was later found unresponsive.

Foxx recalled waking up in the hospital weeks later, surprised to find that he had been in a coma for nearly three weeks.
The actor described how doctors told him that if he hadn’t received immediate treatment, he wouldn’t have survived.
During his recovery, Foxx credited his family, especially his daughters, Corinne and Anelise, for helping him fight through the dark moments.
He explained that his daughter’s playing the family guitar during his coma played a key role in his recovery.
Despite the severity of his medical crisis, Foxx is now on the mend, though he acknowledges that his recovery is ongoing.
While he’s back to performing on stage and feeling stronger, he remains mindful of the challenges his health still presents.
