Renowned Academy Award-winning actor, Jamie Foxx, is entangled in a legal dispute, facing allegations of sexual assault stemming from an incident that transpired in 2015 at Catch NYC & Roof.
As detailed in the filed lawsuit according to TMZ, the evening unfolded in August 2015 at Catch NYC & Roof around 11 PM, with Foxx seated in the rooftop lounge and bar. The plaintiff, upon arriving, observed Foxx merely a table away.

Around 1 AM, the plaintiff’s companion approached Foxx, requesting a photograph with both her and the plaintiff. Foxx, allegedly in an inebriated state, responded with, “Sure, baby, anything for you…” He proceeded to capture more moments, complimenting the plaintiff with remarks such as, “Wow, you possess that supermodel body,” expressing admiration for her scent, and drawing a comparison to Gabrielle Union.
The narrative takes a distressing turn when the plaintiff contends that Foxx guided her to a secluded area of the rooftop, where he purportedly groped her bre-asts beneath her crop top. Despite her attempt to disengage, Foxx allegedly escalated the violation by inserting his hands down her pants, intruding into both her vagina and anus.
According to the lawsuit, a security guard was purportedly a witness to the misconduct but refrained from intervening. It was only when the plaintiff’s friend intervened that Foxx ceased his actions and walked away.
The legal action seeks redress for the endured pain, suffering, emotional distress, anxiety, and humiliation. The plaintiff claims to have experienced physical discomfort necessitating medical attention as a consequence of the alleged assault.

In a notable twist, the lawsuit also implicates Birnbaum and Catch NYC as co-defendants, asserting that they facilitated the assault and neglected to adequately supervise their personnel.
This litigation is among several filed under New York’s Adult Survivors Act, capitalizing on the one-year window provided to pursue se-xual abuse claims that would otherwise be time-barred by the statute of limitations. The looming deadline for such claims is Thursday.
