Newly appointed U.S. Vice President JD Vance has sparked controversy with a bold statement claiming that President Donald Trump achieved more in just five days than President Joe Biden did in his entire four years in office.
Vance made the comment during an interview on CBS’ “Face the Nation” on Sunday, January 26, as he discussed Trump’s recent executive actions aimed at lowering energy prices.
Vance argued that Trump’s swift actions would ultimately benefit American consumers, helping to reduce the cost of living in key areas such as energy and groceries.
“Prices are going to come down, but it’s going to take a little bit of time, right? The president has been president for all of five days. I think that, in those five days, he’s accomplished more than Joe Biden did in four years,” Vance said.
The Vice President highlighted several executive orders signed by Trump that he believes will help lower energy prices.

According to Vance, while Americans will eventually see relief at the gas pump and in grocery stores, the full impact of Trump’s actions will take time to materialize.
Vance’s remarks have stirred debate, with some dismissing the comment as an exaggeration, while others argue that Trump’s approach to economic policy may bring positive results.
However, Democrats have mocked Trump’s claims, particularly regarding grocery prices.
In early January, Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., took to social media, questioning what Trump planned to do about the rising cost of groceries, sarcastically commenting on Trump’s previous interest in purchasing Greenland.
